The alarmists are desperate!

The NOAA launches yet another vicious ad hominem attack in their August report about global temperatures. In a transparent attempt to frighten and intimidate, they publish maps and graphs with a lot of red in them, like this one:

And this one:

And they write alarmist tripe like:
•For January–August 2010, the global combined land and ocean surface temperature of 14.7°C (58.5°F) tied with 1998 as the warmest January–August period on record. This value is 0.67°C (1.21°F) above the 20th century average.

The warmists must really be getting desperate. Their cheating and manipulations were laid bare by the Climategate scandal, and their watermelon (green on the outside, red on the inside) scam is falling apart faster than a house of cards in a snowstorm. They publish rubbish like this only to divert the attention from "Mike's trick to hide the decline in global temperatures" and from Andrew Montford's recently published and devastating investigation into the Climategate inquiries. That the grant-grabbing people at NOAA resort to such desperate measures and ad hominem attacks is evidence that we climate realists are winning the hearts and minds of people all over the world.

Vincit omnia veritas.

  1. I expect teh next AR5 report will have a cover showing nothing but a red globe with the legend:
'All ur base R belong to us' luv, ICCCP.

Is this what we fought three world wars for?

  2. They are giving it away too easily these days. Who would believe a map with so many red dots? It's like the result of an election in Iraq when Saddam Hussein was still in power and re-elected with 99% of the votes. This was of course before the country was liberated by our troops. (But don't think the people of Iraq ever thanked us for that. One comes to believe they prefer to live under dictatorship. But maybe that's because they are MUSLINS JUST LIKE b. hUSSEIN OBAMA AND ISLAN IS A RELIGION OF dARKNESS

There is, as always, a simpler explanation. With all the budget cuts these days, the NOAA crowd found themselves some low-price interns. The one they sent to the dot store to buy supplies for their latest propa-ganda-map just happened to color blind and brought back more red dots than blue dots. Hence, this map and all future maps will be red, redder, reddest.

  4. Baron, thank you. So many people complain about this 'ad hominem' thingie. Now I know what they're on about. Graphs! Every time I see a graph from now on, I'll know what's wrong. And I know I don't need to read it, I just say 'ad hominem' and ignore it. Thank you so, soooo much.

  5. How can they publish such lies, and get away with it? I thank God and America that we have Fox News and You my Baron to show us the clear and shining truth that these disgusting warmofascists want to hide behind so many red dots!
